Details of filtration |

The filtration is a mechanical separation of solids from a liquid. It is carried out to obtain the recovery of the clarified liquid or of the solid and sometimes both.
The filtration is obtained by pressure on a permeable support operating as "filter means", allowing the liquid to flow and keeping the solid from the cloth.
The Vacuum rotary filter is a continuous filter in which we can distinguish as (1) an immersion phase (2) with panel formation on the filter, a paneldrying phase (3) with or without washing phase and (4) a panel discharge phase.
Choice of the type of filter
The choice of the most suitable type of filter depends on a number of factors:
- type of solid to be filtered (colloidal, crystalline, etc.)
- solid granulometry
- solid precentage
Our experience and the possibility of filtration tests in our own laboratory allows us to determine the exact type of filter, the filtering surface and the modifications necessary to improve its efficiency. Vacuum Filter is able to design and manufacture a number of types of filters having a filtering surface from 0.5 to 60 sq.m.The filters can be manufactured in accordance with customer requirements and also in the following materials:
- carbon steel
- carbon steel with ebonite lining
- stainless steel
